
PIM Analytics provides various analytics for e-commerce: information and comparizon of buyout depending on region of delivery, delivery time, customer characteristics and so on, delivery cost and duration, amount of bought orders and a lot of other data. It based on data from fintech motherhood company PIM, that provides wide range of financial and logistic services for internet shops.
PIM Analytics is a redesign project. Previous version called PimPay Analytics was a test product, it had successfull reviews of users, so it was decided to expand this product. Also the rebranding of company happened (PimPay → PIM Solutions). The goal was to match launch of new Analytics with company rebranding.
Redesign Goals
- To provide much more data to make more valuable product
- To propose and sell paid services
- To increase the average usage time of the service
- To increase the number of users
Data Structure
There are a lot of data pieces in analytics: dozens of charts, tables and informers. To make service clear and easily understandable first of all it was necessary to categorize all data in right way
Hypotheses
- Product will be self-supporting due to paid reports
- Users will need and will buy custom reports made specially for them
- All data in one place will be significant advantage over competitors
- Customizable dashboard also will be significant advantage

The product is never finalized. There are always a lot of possibilities to improve and grow.

Dashboard
Dashboard is main page of the product. Users can customize it and show that charts and reports, that are more valuable for them. We propose the most popular reports by default. Also we placed on dashboard some smart informers.
Reports Pages
All charts, tables and other types of information were divided into 4 pages: Delivery, Buyout, Payments, Customers. In each of them there are inner category navigation and summary informers.
User can watch them own statistics or see comparison with similar shops. Similar shops are shops the same size and selling the same products. Of course, comparison is anonumous and shown only in digits.
Settings
Analytics is a complex product. We offer users convenient default settings, but also users can make product more useful and effective especially for them
Payment
Paid services is vey important for product, so we tried different variants to understand, how it will be more convenient for users and profitable for business.
First it was rather flexible process, that provided users to choose payment method and different actions: buy right now, add to cart, pay later
But finally due interviews with users we decided to simplify payments as much as possible, at least for the first version of product
Design system
PIM Analytics is a part of big PIM ecosystem. So it was necessary to make it look like a part of a family, but also it is independent product, so it has to have it’s own visual style
PIM Analytics logo has some details saying that it’ s about data and statistics, but overall shape and colors matches logo of mother company. Monospace font brings some tech in logo
